Estudios en el género Myrsine (Myrsinaceae) de Colombia
During preparation of the treatment of the Myrsinaceae for the Flora de Colombia, two new species of the genus Myrsine L., M. cupuliformis Pipoly and M. perreticulata Pipoly, from the departments of Chocó and Risaralda respectively, are described, illustrated and their phylogenetic relationships are discussed. Reasons for inclusion of Rapanea Aubi. as a taxonomic synonym of Myrsine L., are given. Three new combinations: M. andina (Mez) Pipoly, M. paramensis (Cuatrecasas) Pipoly and M. pearcei (Mez) Pipoly are proposed and synonymy for six other species is provided.
