Bahamas. Significant achievements 2010-2017
The main activities carried out by the Institute in the Bahamas are identified, during the period from 2010 to 2017, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues such as animal nutrition, beekeeping, food security, aquaponics, sustainable development, innovation and technology. Likewise, work was done to improve meat processing, health and food safety, through the Codex Alimentarius, in the management of farms and in the production chains of vegetables, such as cassava and sweet potato, honey, ruminants, goats and sheep. Finally, it relied on regulations, project management, soil and water management, handicraft trade and the inclusion of women producers.
