Comportamiento de seis variedades de arroz (Oryza sativa L.) bajo diferentes sistemas de siembra en suelo salino-sódico

Looking for high resistance to saline-sodic soil conditions under different systems, six rice Oryza sativa L. varieties were evaluated (CICA 4 - CICA 8, IR 253-26-3-5-2, IR 22, IR 26 and Pokkali). IR 2153-26-3-5-2 appeared as the most tolerant and showed the highest yields under all planting systems (direct planting, and transplanting after 15, 30, 45 days of seedling). It was also found that best time for transplanting is at 45 days for all varieties, since they increased yield and its components (length of pacible, weight of panicle, and 1000 seeds and fertile tillers)
