Guyana. Significant achievements 2017

The main activities carried out by the Institute in Guyana during 2017 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues such as marketing, beekeeping, family farming, governance, food safety and sanitation, through the use of the Codex Alimentarius , leadership, management of water resources, bioinputs and bioenergy. Likewise, work was done on the use of greenhouses, on the use of giant king fat as fodder, on cassava production, on regional trade, and on the certification of production processes. Finally, support was given to small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, to the inclusion of women in agriculture and to combat drug theft.
