Improved recipes for complementary feeding of children aged 6-23 months
The purpose of this book is to standardize and provide a set of improved complementary feeding recipes. The aim of this recipe book is to provide nutrition practioners with the information on basic food group, appropriaate food combinations, correct food handling, appropriate preparation methods, simple processing technologies as well as the schedule and frequence of complementary feeding for children 6-23 months of age. The recipe book can be used as a tool by dietitians, nutritionists and public health practioners for children 6 to 23 months of age in a hospital setting or for field based nutrition programs. The can also be used by program managers, district and sub district level personnel involved in nutrition and health based programs dealing with IYCF. The book will also be of immense support to academicians and students ibn nutrition to understand the principles of recipe development of IYCF.
