This publication provides guidance for the use of indicators to monitor the sustainable development of aquaculture in Mediterranean and Black Sea countries. It mainly draws upon the outcomes of the activities carried out within the InDAM project on “Indicators for Sustainable Development of Aquaculture and Guidelines for their use in the Mediterranean”, funded by the European Commission Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE), as well as the outputs of other projects and initiatives dealing with European/Mediterranean aquaculture sustainability.
