Immunization of pregnant Holstein cattle to enter enzootic tick and hemoparasite areas: Paper presented at the VI National Veterinary Congress

In an agricultural livestock establishment located in the Department of Treinta y Tres, 3rd Police Section, in the area of Costas de Ayala, exports of live cattle have been carried out since 1991. Today, its two main items are rice production and Holando cattle exports. One of the main problems to be solved was the introduction of susceptible cattle from a tick-free area to an enzootic zone, which implies serious risks of death due to the transmission of hematozoos.
