From microcredit to self-management of financing. A case study with family floricultural producers of the periurban of La Plata

This work gives an account of the extension work with family flower growers in Colonia Las Banderitas, La Plata Party for the ten year period. The focus of intervention is focused on the strategies used by producers to finance and capitalize production units. The task of extension begins with the establishment of microcredit groups of the Social Bank of the Faculty of Agrarian and Forest Sciences, to later form a Civil Association in order to manage own projects. The article describes and analyzes the path traveled by the group, the achievements and difficulties carried over, as well as the factors that promoted the conformation and durability of the organization to the present day. It rescues the self-management process, as well as the generation of trust among the members based on the work done in the group, which allowed advancement both in the organizational aspect and in the improvement of production systems. The task of the extension worker is highlighted, which contributed as a facilitator of the process. The analysis is based on a case study with a methodology of qualitative type.

Este trabajo da cuenta del trabajo de extensión con productores florícolas familiares en Colonia Las Banderitas, Partido de La Plata por el lapso de diez años. El eje transversal de la intervención se focaliza en las estrategias utilizadas por los productores para el financiamiento y capitalización de las unidades productivas. La tarea de extensión se inicia con la constitución de grupos de microcréditos del Banco Social de la Facultad de Ciencias Agrarias y Forestales, para posteriormente conformar una Asociación Civil con el objeto de gestionar proyectos propios. El artículo describe y analiza el camino recorrido por el grupo, los logros y dificultades transitadas así como los factores que promovieron la conformación y perdurabilidad de la organización hasta la actualidad. Se rescata el proceso autogestivo, así como la generación de confianza entre los integrantes en base al trabajo realizado en el grupo, lo que permitió avanzar tanto en el aspecto organizativo como en la mejora de los sistemas productivos. Se destaca la tarea del extensionista, el cual aportó como facilitador del proceso. El análisis se realiza a partir de un estudio de caso con una metodología de tipo cualitativa.
