From microcredit to self-management of financing. A case study with family floricultural producers of the periurban of La Plata

This work gives an account of the extension work with family flower growers in Colonia Las Banderitas, La Plata Party for the ten year period. The focus of intervention is focused on the strategies used by producers to finance and capitalize production units. The task of extension begins with the establishment of microcredit groups of the Social Bank of the Faculty of Agrarian and Forest Sciences, to later form a Civil Association in order to manage own projects. The article describes and analyzes the path traveled by the group, the achievements and difficulties carried over, as well as the factors that promoted the conformation and durability of the organization to the present day. It rescues the self-management process, as well as the generation of trust among the members based on the work done in the group, which allowed advancement both in the organizational aspect and in the improvement of production systems. The task of the extension worker is highlighted, which contributed as a facilitator of the process. The analysis is based on a case study with a methodology of qualitative type.
