Nanotechnology and animal health: learning about the development of a strategy for prevention and treatment for ovine brucellosis

From a socio-technical approach, the aim of this paper is to reconstruct the R&D process for the treatment ofovine brucellosis through nanotechnologies. This research wants to contribute to the debate on the role ofemerging technologies in the development of animal health strategies. Nanotechnologies have become a central topic in the policy agenda in which the problems related to the agro-food system have received a large number of resources. As a result, we highlight that this development generate new capacities and learnings. However, conflicts arise about the social utility of the generated knowledge.
