EFECTO DEL TRATAMIENTO CON EXPLOSIVOS SOBRE LAS TENSIONES RESIDUALES EN UNIONES SOLDADAS DE ACERO AL CARBONO / EFFECT OF EXPLOSIVE TREATMENT ON RESIDUAL STRESS IN CARBON STEEL WELDING JOINTS
En el trabajo se estudia el efecto de la energía de la detonación de un explosivo como método para reducir las tensionesresiduales en la zona afectada por el calor de uniones soldadas. Se realiza un análisis comparativo de dos alternativas decolocación de la carga explosiva: una de forma lineal y la otra de forma sinusoidal. Los resultados obtenidos demuestran laefectividad del método y que en ambos casos se logra una disminución de las tensiones residuales entre el 50 y el 60%,permitiendo afirmar que el mismo ofrece una alternativa a tener en cuenta para extender la vida útil de las uniones soldadas.ABSTRACTIn this paper, the effect of the detonation energy of explosive charges as a method to reduce residual stresses in the heataffected zone of welded joints was studied. A comparative analysis of two alternatives for the positioning of the explosivecharge is made: one of linear form and the other sinusoidal. The results obtained before and after the treatment demonstratethe effectiveness of the method and that in both cases a decrease in residual stress is obtained, with values which rangebetween 50 and 60%, allowing us to affirm that both alternatives offer a possible solution to extend the working life of thewelded joints.Keywords: residual stress in welding joints, explosive treatments, residual stress relief.
