National Projects in Dispute: What to do with Science and Technology?

Faced with the electoral scenario of October 2019, we discussed the conditions of possibility through which “the science and technology sector (S&T) can assume a leading political role. To this end, a contextualization centered on the geopolitical place of Argentina and on the trajectory of its S&T policies is presented. The pendular oscillation around disputed country-projects and learnings inherited from the recent progressive period (2003-2015) allow us to infer policy elements for the urgent, expansive and embedded recovery of S&T activities.
