Caracterización del inicio de postura y asociación entre producción parcial y total en cuatro razas de gallinas criollas venezolanas
Se caracterizó el inicio de postura y la asociación entre la producción parcial y total en cuatro razas de gallinas criollas pertenecientes al Laboratorio – Sección de Aves (FAGRO – UCV). Se calcularon los promedios para peso de la gallina (PGPH), edad (EPH) y peso del primer huevo (PPH) de las razas GDB (n = 34), Maracay (n = 37) y FAGRO (n = 28), asimismo se calculó la regresión entre EPH y postura a la semana 32 (P32). Para las correlaciones y regresiones entre postura parcial (PP) y total (PT, a las 52 semanas de edad) se dispuso de 200 animales: GDB = 130, Maracay = 28, IPA = 32 y FAGRO = 10. Se obtuvo la estadística descriptiva y se realizó la prueba de “t” de Student. El promedio para PGPH fue de 1,73 kg, error estándar de 0,64 kg y coeficiente de variación de 15,01%. Maracay (1,9 kg) fue superior (P<0,05), superando en 190 g a GDB y 320 g a FAGRO. EPH resultó no significativo, con edades entre 20,5 y 21 semanas. PPH fue mayor en Maracay (51,5 g), seguido de FAGRO (46,9 g) y GDB (46,5 g). El valor de correlación entre EPH y P32 fue de -0,32. Las correlaciones entre PP y PT oscilaron entre 0,26 y 1, las regresiones se movieron entre valores positivos y negativos. Se observó superioridad de Maracay para peso del huevo y paridad de todas las razas para EPH; asimismo, se detectaron relaciones entre la madurez sexual y caracteres productivos. "Characterization of initial lay and association between partial and total production in four Venezuelan Creole hen breeds" ABSTRACT The onset of lay and the association between partial and total production in four breeds of Creole hens belonging to the Laboratory - Poultry Section (FAGRO - UCV) were characterized. The averages for hen weight (PGPH), age (EPH) and first egg weight (PPH) of the GDB (n = 34), Maracay (n = 37) and FAGRO (n = 28) breeds were calculated, and the regression between EPH and laying at week 32 (P32) was also calculated. For the correlations and regressions between partial (PP) and total (PT, at 52 weeks of age) posture, 200 animals were available: GDB = 130, Maracay = 28, IPA = 32 and FAGRO = 10. The average for PGPH was 1.73 kg, standard error of 0.64 kg and coefficient of variation of 15.01%. Maracay (1.9 kg) was superior (P<0.05), with 190 g more than GDB and 320 g more than FAGRO. EPH was not significant, with ages between 20.5 and 21 weeks. PPH was higher in Maracay (51.5 g), followed by FAGRO (46.9 g) and GDB (46.5 g). The correlation value between EPH and P32 was -0.32. The correlations between PP and PT ranged from 0.26 to 1, and the regressions ranged from positive to negative values. Maracay superiority was observed for egg weight and parity of all breeds for EPH; also, relationships between sexual maturity and productive traits were detected.
