?Alluvial facies of the Yasyamayo Formation, Department of Tafí, Province of Tucumán, Argentina?. The sedimentary succession of the Yasyamayo Formation (Upper Pliocene-Pleistocene) located in El Infiernillo, Department of Tafí, Province of Tucumán has been studied. This sequence is divided in two sedimentary facies: Facies A is composed mainly of massive and matrix supported conglomerates with coarse sandstones. Facies B is made up of coarse sandstones, massive sandstones, laminated sandstones and lenticular sandstones. The paleoenvironmental interpretation of the facies described is the braided river in tectonic valley with lateral alluvial fan deposits.
