Caracterización florística y estructural de un bosque estacional en el sector la Trilla, Parque Nacional Henri Pittier, Estado Aragua, Venezuela
RESUMEN Con la finalidad de caracterizar la composición florística y la estructura de un bosque estacional del Parque Nacional Henri Pittier se establecieron tres parcelas de 0,1 ha cada una, entre 200 y 400 m snm. Se determinó cualitativamente la fisionomía y la estructura vertical mediante perfiles de vegetación. Se encontró que la parcela I es la más diversa (49 especies) seguida por la parcela II con 47 especies y la III con 34 especies. La mayor similitud florística (0,44) se obtuvo entre las parcelas I y II. Se observaron tres estratos arbóreos: superior, de árboles emergentes entre 13-16 m; medio (dosel), de 8-11 m; e inferior, de 4-6 m; y un sotobosque ralo. Entre las especies más importantes destacan Memora cladotricha, Aphelandra fasciculata, Bauhinia cumanensis, Machaerium robiniifolium, Bursera simaruba, Maclura tinctoria y Cochlospermum vitifolium. Se presenta la lista de las familias y especies registradas en cada una de las parcelas, y los perfiles de vegetación que representan la estratificación del bosque. ABSTRACT With the purpose of characterizing the floristic composition and the structure of a seasonal forest of the Henri Pittier National Park, three plots of 0.1 ha were established, among 200 and 400 m asl. The physiognomy and vertical structure was determined qualita-tively by means of vegetation profiles. Plot I was the most diverse (49 species) followed by plot II with 47 species and III with 34 species. The highest floristic similarity was observed (0,44) among plots I and II. Three tree strata were observed: upper, of emergent trees among 13-16 m; mean (canopy), of 8-11 m; and lower, of 4-6 m; also a thin understory. Among the most important species Memora cladotricha,Aphelandra fasciculata, Bauhinia cumanen-sis, Machaerium robiniifolium, Bursera simaruba, Maclura tinctoria and Cochlospermum vitifolium clearly stand out. A list of families and species for each plot and profiles of vegetation that represent the stratification of the forest is presented.
