Nuevos registros de Diatomeas (Bacillariophyceae) de la Amazonia Colombiana
Ten diatom taxa are recorded for the first time from the Colombian Amazon basin, in the genera Cyclotella (1), Aulacoseira (2), Achnanthes (1), Lemnicola (1), Amphipleura (1), Gyrosigma (1), Stauroneis (1), Hantzschia (1) and Nitzschia (1). Four of these, Aulacoseira granulata var. angustissima, Achnanthes intlete, Gyrosigma spencerii, and Stauroneis phoenicenteron, are recorded for the first time in Colombia. Details of the valve morphology for five taxa are discussed.
