Estudio de crecimiento y absorción de nitrógeno, fósforo y potasio en cebolla, Allium cepa L., variedad ocañera

A study with bulb onion, Ocañera variety was carried out at the Experimental Center Palmira. Growing periods were counted from 30 days after sowing with intervals of 10 days, which were used as treatments. The studies variety presents among its main characteristics: asexual propagation, short vegetative cycle, and high yields. Mean determined parameters were: number of false stem/plant, number of  leaves/false stem, number of leaves/plant, leaves height, fresh and dried leaves, and bulbs weight, percentages and grams of N, P and K in leaves and bulbs. Fresh and dried weights of both leaves and bulbs have a narrow ratio throughout the vegetative period N and K needed by onion are greater in the first periods, and P the whole period. For a 21.5 t/ha harvest the nutrient consumption was 38.8,38.6 and 71.3 kg of N, P20S YK20 respectively.
