Transboundary Diagnostic Analysis of the Large Marine Ecosystems of the Western Indian Ocean Volume 2 : Diagnostic Analysis

This chapter presents a summary of the process and outcomes of the national and regional level meetings, and a summary description of each of the issue categories. For each issue category, there is a general ‘Problem Statement’, which outlines the broad generic characteristics of the issue. This is followed by a summary of the ‘National Issue Scoping’ exercise which examines the relevance of each issue at the national level and presents the evidence as derived from the draft MEDA documents. This is followed by the results of the ‘Transboundary Scoping’, which presents a summary of the key results from both the national and regional prioritisation exercises.
