Between prohibition and prohibition: Agrarian claims in the Yerbatera Argentina Agribusiness (1966-1976)

The objective of this article is to analyze the agrarian demands of the producers yerbateros in Argentina. The premise is to recognize the interests that unite them, as well as to observe the aims they pursue and examine the ideological component. The methodological proposal is to carry out the study taking into account the voices of the protagonists, so that documents such as cooperative memoirs, bulletins of the Yerba Mate Regulatory Commission (CRYM) are used, associations and periodicals. In addition, interviews with key actors and secondary sources complement the documentary corpus for this communication with a regional history perspective. It is concluded that the formas of fights and resistance on the border of rural Argentina have a strong ideological component, associated whit socio- economic conditions and class membership.
