EVALUATION OF THE YIELD, THE ADAPTABILITY AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS OF 22 CULTIVATES OF RICE OF EARLY CYCLE UNDER CONDITIONS OF DRY LAND AND IRRIGATION.

With the objective of evaluate the response in yield, the adaptability and other agronomical and industrial characteristics, 22 genotypes of rice of early cycle were evaluated, in 10 localities in dry land and six in irrigation. Combined variance analysis was carried out and the averages were separated by the DMS (P<0.05). To estimate the stability model AMMI and the GGESREG Biplot were used. The results for the system of dry land, show a low incidence of foliar disease especially NBI, ShR, GID and moderate attacks of BI, LSc and ShB. There were significant differences (P<0.05) in yield of grain, VIOAL 25-97, which did not differ statistically from FLAR 144-98, FLAR 145-98, ACARIGUA 25 and FLAR 126-00 standing out. As grain, the total yield (RT) fluctuate among 63.3 to 67.8%, with values of entire grains (GE) between 47.9 and 58.1%, while the white center (CB) fluctuated between 1.4 and 3.8. The alkaline digestion (DA) showed 11 genotypes with degrees of dispersion among 6 and 7 with low temperature of gelatinization, nine with degrees from 4 to 5 considered intermediate and two with degree inferior to 4 with high temperature of gelatinization. Cultivate VIOAL 25-97 was the genotype that better response to the environmental stimulate. The cultivates IDIAP L-7 and CR 5272 presented the poorest behavior. The model GGESREG Biplot identified as ideal genotypes, FLAR 126 and COPROSEM 2. The results for the system of irrigation, show a low incidence of foliar disease. The statistical DMS (P<0.05) indicated significant differences in yield of grain, the elite group is constituted by 13 genotypes, Colombia XXI, FLAR 179-00, FLAR 126-00, VIOAL 25-97, ORYZICA 1, COPROSEM 1, Fedearroz  2000, COPROSEM 2, FLAR 144-98, LICI 52, FLAR 122-00, FLAR 185-00 and ACARIGUA 25, that did not differ statistically among themselves. The parameters of quality of grains showed percentages of RT  fluctuating between 66.1 to 70.5%, with values of GE between 53.7 and 58.1%. The incidence of CB in the grains fluctuated between 1.2 and 3.8. For DA, 50% of genotypes presented degrees of 6 and 7, 41% with degree of 4 and 5 and 9% with degree inferior to 4. The cultivates Colombia XXI, VIOAL 25-97, FLAR 126-00 and COPROSEM 1 were considered by the GGESREG Biplot as the genotypes that better response to the environmental stimulate. The cultivates IDIAP L-7, CR 5272, FLAR 434-98 and FLAR 438-98 were those that presented the behavior but poor. The graph shows that the ideal genotype, under conditions of irrigation, was Colombia XXI.
