This document contains three reports. The first report discusses the recommendation that the Common Entrance Examination, as at present structured, be modified to broaden its content by incorporating General Science and Social Studies into the existing scheme of examination. The Second report discusses 1) the rejection of the St. Clair King Working Committee recommendation that the two chances at the Common Entrance Examination be “abolished” and replaced by “a single chance” and 2) Examination Review Committee’s counter proposals. The third report discusses the rejection of the St. Clair King Working Committee recommendation proposing “the introduction of a national examination at the level of Cycle 1 that will be the basic minimum indication of successful high school performance.”
