Densidad y módulo de elasticidad dinámico de Pinus taeda obtenido con equipo de vibración transversal

Acoustic methods are widely used in the forest products industry to determine the properties of standing tree, logs and boards. The aim of this was to determine the density and dynamica elasticity modulus of loblolly pine boards coming from a thinning intensity essay. The mean values for all treatments were 0.50 g/cm3 and 9.86 GPa for density and MOEd, respectively. a signicant association was found between both variables (r=0.82). The transverse vibration test tool was effective to assess the suitability of the wood.
