Irrigation and water management in Conilon coffee.

The practice of irrigation has been an important strategy to optimize the world food production, for generating sustainable development in the f?ield, with jobs and income in a stable way. Mantovani, Bernardo and Palaretti (2013) emphasize the importance of the irrigation technique by mentioning that 17% ofthe area under cultivation for food production is irrigated, which accounts for 40% of food production. Still, according to the same authors, estimates indicate that 5% of cultivated areas in Brazil are irrigated, which account for 16% of food production and 35% ofthe economic value of production...
