Mission report on educational planning in the Yemen AR - After a brief survey of the economic situation of the country, gives an assessment of the educational system with a view to educational reform consistent with the economic and social development, recommends the elaboration of an educational policy and the reorganization of educational administration, including curriculum development, agricultural education and textbook production, stresses the need for improving teacher training, educational supervision and school building and equipment, underlines increasing the access of girls to primary education so as to further the education of women, mentions planning of functional literacy programmes, includes statistical data on enrolment and educational expenditure
