Training of Trainers in the Promotion of Income Generating Economic Activities for Women affected by War in the MRU Sub-Region
This project will provide women entrepreneurs in the Mano River Union countries, just coming out of war, with the skills necessary for identifying, establishing and or revitalizing their micro and small-scale income generating self-help activities. This will be achieved by strengthening the capacity of some selected trainers out of each of the MRU countries. The project will involve a training of trainers' (TOT) workshop to produce trainers who will in turn train poor women in the countries of the sub-region with a view to enabling the latter to start new economic activities necessary for self-reliance. A training needs assessment mission has already been fielded in Liberia, out of which has emerged a training manual for the Training of Trainers.
