Factors determining mesocarp oil to bunch ratio in oil palm (elaeis guineensis) : a physiological perspective.
The development sequence leading to the formation of a mature fruit bunch is described with emphasis on the componentes which ultimately determine the oil to bunch ratio (O/B). The influence of both external and internal (endogenous) factors on bunch components and O/B is then briefly reviewed.
