Studies on the biology of Tamarixia radiata Waterson (Hymenoptera : Eulophidae)

Tamarixia radiata Waterston was artificially reared on its psyllid host Diaphorina citri kuwayama under controlled temperature. The timing of the life history was reduced with increasing temperatures, a minimum of 8.5 days being observed at 30°C and beyond 30°C. Adult survival of the parasitic wasp was reduced to 8 days only at 35°C. Sugar (honey) is also an extremely important factor for survival.
