Glutathion peroxidase activity in Hevea brasiliensis latex

Latex from #hevea brasiliensis#, collected by periodical incisions in the bark, is a cytoplasm. The incision induces latex flow, in situ latex regeneration and in the same time stress reactions, which are likely to generate Active Oxygen Species (AOS) like O2 and H2O2 AOS can induce laticiferous system senescence (bark druness). H2O2, AOS more stable form, is detoxified in the hevea latex catalase, ascorbate peroxidase (Apx), but also glutathion peroxidase (GPx)
