CIMMYT World wheat facts and trends: supplement 1995 ongoing research at CIMMYT: understanding wheat genetic diversity and international flows of genetic resources

This supplement to the CIMJvfYT World Wheat Facts and Trends series summarizes objectives and preliminary results of a study of wheat genetic diversity and international flows of genetic resources (final results will appear in the next full issue of this series). Current developments and emerging trends in the world wheat economy are described as well. Statistics related to wheat production, trade, consumption, and prices, as well as some basic economic indicators, are provided for each of the world's major wheat-producing and -consuming nations.
