1985 CIMMYT world wheat facts and trends: report three: a discussion of selected wheat marketing and pricing issues in developing countries

In this issue, emphasis is placed on aspects of wheat marketing and pricing in developing countries (more research has been done recently on these topics by such agencies as the International Wheat Council, the US Department of Agriculture, and by private research and information organizations). The Third World wheat market has undergone dramatic changes during the past 15 years, associated with rising wheat consumption and imports, as well as with an increased marketable surplus in major wheat-growing regions.
