Soil and agronomic factors influencing fodder production in the humid zone of West Africa

A study conducted to investigate the possibilities of extending soil management and fodder production in the humid zone of West Africa. Disucsses traditional farming and potential of alley cropping as an improved system as well as a complete farming system. Looks into the climate and soil environment. Examines the plant/soil research needs in the context of ILCA's objectives and existing program.
