Biomasa y composición del zooplancton de interés trófico pesquero en áreas del Atlántico Sudoccidental. Campaña OB-02/91, Zona común de pesca argentino-uruguaya, mayo-junio 1991.

This report provides information about biomass and composition of meso and macrozooplankton, as trophic resource specially for hake and squid, from autumn survey in the CFZ. Zooplankton samples were obtained by a Nackthai net. Trawls were obliques in 37 stations and stratified in 9 ones. Mesozooplankton and macrozooplankton biomass were higher in the argentine sector of the CFZ than in the uruguayan one (25 and 85 mg.m3). Mesozooplankton biomass showed a slight tendency to increase near the 50 m isobat, and macrozooplankton the opposite. Copepods and eufausiids were the dominant groups whithin meso and macrozooplankton, respectively. No distribution pattern across the shelf was observed for each group.
