Claves ilustradas para la clasificación de los cangrejos marinos y estuarinos (Malacostraca: Brachyura) de Cuba II

The second part of the illustrated keys for the classification of Cuban brachyuran crabs (Crustacea, Brachyura) corresponding to Section Eubrachyura, Subsection Heterotremata (continued). is presented. This is the group that is known as a whole as spider crabs, since many of them have their flattened and triangular or quadrangular carapace, with their generally elongated appendages and their pedunculated eyes that rarely appear included in complete orbits. The original keys and figures are included for the classification of the families Epialtidae (16 genera and 31 species), Inachidae (3 genera and 8 species), Inachoididae (8 genera and 11 species) and Mithracidae (12 genera and 24 species), which there are a total of four families, 39 genera and 74 species, cited for Cuba.
