Realistic economic benefits from beach nourishment
A method is presented and illustrated with examples to establishappropriate storm damage reduction and recreational benefits frombeach nourishment projects. Unlike previous methods, benefits toproject adjacent areas are recognized due to sand transport out of theproject area and deposition on adjacent beaches. (31pp.)
