Caracterización preliminar del bentos de la Ensenada de Tumaco, para el período junio-octubre de 2000.

In this work are analyzed the first results of the characterization of the marine bentic communities, by means of monthly samplings in 11 stations located around the Tumaco Bay. There were taken into account the data of abundance by groups, composition at genus levet, abiotic data (temperature and salinity) and as a complementary way it was made the respective granulometric analysis in each one of the stations, torelate the composition of the soil with the groups of organisms that it contains. There were gathered a total of 309 organisms in june, 416 organisms in july, 311 organisms in august, 433 organisms in september and 328 organisms in october. There are eigth groups in total into five phylum (Annelids: Polychaeta; Arthropods: Crustaceans decapods, copepods and amphipods; Mollusks: Bivalves and gastropods; Coelenterates: entozoan; Echinoderms: Ophiuroids), three smaller phylum (Sipunculides, Nematodes and Brachiopods) and three unidentified morph-types.
