Automatización de un equipo para aplicar vibraciones circulares al tallo del cafeto

At Cenicafé a coffee harvester was implemented and assessed by applying circular vibrations on coffee trunks in which important variations in the vibration sequence were observed. Such variations could be responsible for the unexpected and undesirable detachment of green berries. In this research a computer based, automatic system that permits to regulate the speed and eccentricity variables as well as application time of the vibrating equipment was studied in order to avoid these oscillations occurrence. The procedure utilized for putting into operation a system that allows acquiring and registering information about the vibration speed that is being applied to the trees is also shown and later analyzed. Thus, the system exhibits the possibility of delivering different vibration patterns and selecting information about the acceleration produced in the coffee trees.
