Associacao da seringueira com a cultura do cafeeiro no estado de Rondonia

Twenty seven agroforestry system models were tested combining three coffee cultivars (Catuaí, Mundo Novo and Robusta) with three spacement within rows of rubber tree and coffee (3,0 m, 4,0 m and 5,0 m) with three densities of coffee plants (two, three and four rows of coffee between rows of Hevea) in Ouro Preto D'Oeste in state of Rondonia. The parameters measured were tree vigour and latex production in Hevea and coffee bean yield. If was concluded that: a) the Robusta cultivar was the best adapted to consortium with Hevea; b) the best systems were consortium of double rows of rubber trees combined with two rows of coffee (for latex producers) or four rows of coffee (for coffee beans producers), keeping a spacement of 3,0 m within rows of rubber trees and coffee.
