Flower induction in juvenile coffee (Coffea canephora Pierre) seedlings

Flower induction in juvenile coffee (Coffea canephora Pierre. cv. S.274) seedlings was tried with different surgical and growth regulator treatments in a pot culture experiment. Gibberellic acid (GA3) sprays were found effective in flower bursting while the other growth regulator sprays and surgical treatments like girdling, bark inversion and bendling of main stem failed to induce flowering. The influence of each treatment on morphology of seedlings observed has been reported in this paper
