Cytochemistry of pollen development in Erythrocoffea
Developmental characteristics of anther and male gametophyte in C. arabica and C. canephora (Erythrocoffea) are described and their evolutionary significance is discussed. Cyto-chemical aspects of pollen development are brought out in detail and their evolutionary and physiological significance is elucidated. A primitive evolutionary status is suggested for these taxa on the basis of this study
