Avaliaçao do efeito da palha de café, misturada ao solo, no desenvolvimento de Meloidogyne exigua Goeldi, 1887, em mudas de cafeeiro

Coffee bean casings are usually abundant in coffee growing areas, and used as soil fertilizer for farmers. The possible effect on the control of Meloidogyne exigua was evaluated under greenhouse conditions. Development of the nematode was reduced with increased levels of coffee bean casings in the soil and total inhibition occured at concentration of 75 to 100 casings. Better levels of inhibition occured when the casings were incorporated into the soil rather than layered on the soil surface
