Influencia de la fertilización con NPK en cafeto al sol sobre la incidencia de Cercospora coffeicola Berk y Cke

A field trial was conducted with the aim of studying the effect of NPK dressings on the incidence of Cercospora coffeicola on unshaded 7-month-old coffee plants cv. Catuai amarillo. It was shown that the upper leaves were more damaged than the middle and lower leaves. The disease caused intense defoliation. In all, 5 evaluations were made during the time of experimentation. Only the last 2 evaluations gave significant differences among treatments. The best treatments for reducing disease incidence appeared to be the combinations which included urea, NPK and NPK in combination with spraying of Zineb. (ATA 10(10):52684. 1985)
