Absorçao de zinco por tecido foliar de cafeeiro (Coffea arabica L.)

Researches were conducted in order to demonstrate that zinc absorption is an active process. Studies on absorption of zinc labeled with 65Zn, were carried out with leaves slices in regard to the time course of uptake, temperature, light, oxigen, pH of external solution, 2.4 DNP, sucrose, urea, boron, copper and mercury. The concluding comments are: the absorption of zinc is an actif process. Sucrose and urea depresse the absorption of zinc. Copper, boron and mercury competetively interfer with transport zinc into the "inner" space
