Selecao de progenitores de híbridos do cacaueiro resistentes a Phytophthora spp.

Hybrids resulting from crosses of clones BE 5, CAS 1, EEG 8, 9 and 65, EET 103, ICS 84 and 95, MA 15, SGU 3 and SPA 17 with the clones SIC 802 as a common progenitor, were tested during seedling stage aiming at an early screening of resistance to Phytophthora capsici, P. palmivora and P. citrophthora, agents of cacao black pod in Southern Bahia. Phytophthora capsici showed always the least average of lesioned area, followed by P. palmivora and P. citrophthora. The progenies of the clones BE 5, EEG 8 and 9 and MA 15 showed the highest levels of resistance; SPA 17, EEG 65, EET 103 and SGU 3 presented intermediate levels, while ICS 84 and 95 and CAS 1 showed the highest susceptibility levels.
