Cacao varieties resistant to Phytophthora palmivora (Butl.) Butl.
The author presents a review of the literature on the resistance of cacao varieties to black pod disease caused by Phytophthora palmivora (Butl.) Butl., including several methods employed in evaluating resistance. He also presents a list of the material (clones) studied and the results obtained. A general discussion is also included.
