Influencia de diferentes substratos na formacao de mudas de cacau (Theobroma cacao L.)

This work has the objetive of testing the influence of different substrates, in which the organic matter sources was the variable factor, on the young cacao plants development. The following organic matter sources were tested: chicken manure (100 1/m3 of soil), cow manure (400 1/m3 of soil), castor bean meal (20 1/m3 of soil) and 2 dosages of the commercial product "Hiper Humus" (10 1 and 20 1/m3 of soil. The treatment evaluations were made by determinating periodically plant height and diameter. Dry matter in the aerial part and root system was also determinated. The results showed that chicken and cow manure were superior when compared to other treatments
