Podridao parda do cacaueiro no Estado da Bahía, Brasil, 1: Virulencia das espécies de Phytophthora

The relative virulence of eight isolates of Phytophthora spp. from different sources was evaluated. Unwounded, detached pods of the cultivar "Comum" were inoculated with mycelial discs. Two isolates of P. citrophthora (P16 and P55) were more virulent than the others, whereast P. palmivora (P26) was intermediate in virulence. An isolate of P. capsici (P23) was less virulent than all the other isolates tested
