Selecao in vitro de fungicidas a Crinipellis perniciosa (Stahel) Singer, causador da vassoura-de-bruxa do cacaueiro

The effect of 41 fungicides on the mycelial growth of the fungus Crinipellis perniciosa (Stahel) Singer, causal agent of witches' broom disease of cacao, was evaluated in vitro. Each fungicide was tested at concentrations of 10, 50 and 100 ppm of the active ingredient with four repetitions. The most efficient products, which completely inhibited fungal growth at 10 ppm, were: Ortho-Zincofol PM, Ortho-Difolatan 50 PM, Bayleton and Brestan 20. Of the 12 systemics tested, only Bayleton was effective at 50 ppm while Calixin, Kitazin, Plantvax, Sicarol, Terrazole and Vitavax were fungitoxic only at 10 and 100 ppm, as were the cupric fungicides
