A new Costa Rican species of Ternstroemia (Theaceae)
A botanical description is given of a new species, Ternstroemia multiovulata, a tree 10-14 m tall, with details of its distribution and habitat in Costa Rica. Line drawings are included of a branch with fruits and leaves, and of the fruits. [The specific epithet in the Latin description is incorrectly given as multiovulat.
