Apanteles sp. (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) parásito del taladrador del fruto del aguacate Stenoma catenifer walsingham (Lepidoptera stenomidae) en Venezuela

A parasite Apanteles sp (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) is reported attacking larvae of the avocado fruit borer Stenoma catenifer Walsingham (Lepidoptera: Stenomidae), in Borburata, Carabobo State and El Limón, Aragua State, Venezuela. In the farmer locality, between 31-33 percent the larvae were affected. The full development larvae of the parasite leave the host to pupate outside the fruit.
