Non-surgical transplantation of embryo in goats

Oestrus in 12 adult Barbari nannies was synchronized by feeding melengestrol acetate (MGA) with concentrate mixture at 0.15 mg/animal for 16 days. Multiple ovulation in donor goats was induced by the administration of PMSG on the last day of MGA feeding. Twenty eggs were recovered from the uterine flushings of 5 superovulated donors at 120 hours after the onset of oestrus. Non-surgical transfer of 17 eggs to 7 recipients resulted in pregnancy in 3 nannies (40 percent) and birth of 2 healthy kids after normal gestation period
